Joe Symes and the Loving Kind are a Trio band from Liverpool UK.
JOE SYMES AND THE LOVING KINDThe group has spent the last two years launching their explosive assault on UK clubs and festivals.
Since the release of their debut album in 2013, the band have embarked on a non-stop journey all over the UK, performing in cities and towns from London to Glasgow. Taking their self-titled debut on an assault around the country has seen them pick up some major support slots including The Blockheads, Dodgy, XTC, Bloc Party and Alt-J, as well as hitting the Festival circuit, and coming to the attention of Creation Management’s Alan McGee. The album has also been greatly received in America, and had magazine and airplay all over the world.

With the release of their new single, Things Get Better, the band showcase how they have evolved, formed from more increasingly energetic live performances, with a heavier sound, but still keeping their distinctive feel found on the first album. Things Get Better has already begun to attract attention at home and abroad, being featured on BBC Introducing, being played at Anfield (Liverpool FC) on match days, as well as already having some International airplay

Not every band gets the privilege to play at NOEL GALLAGHER and The High Flying Birds Official After Show Party but JOE SYMES & THE LOVING KIND did and when you hear them you’ll know why!

JOE SYMES AND THE LOVING KINDJoe Symes And The Loving Kind have also had the privilege of supporting STEVE CRADOCK (Paul Weller / Ocean Colour Scene) at the 02 Academy, Liverpool and also THE BLOCKHEADS at the iconic Erics in Liverpool. At the Scala, London they shared the stage with BLOC PARTY, ALT J and XFM.

Joe Symes And The Loving Kind brilliant debut album released in 2013 came to the attention of Oasis manager ALAN McGEE who immediately booked them onto his 359 Records night at District, Liverpool.

After making it on our 25 Best Indie Albums of 2015, Joe Symes and the Loving Kind are back with their new single “Things Get Better”. This insta-classic has the dirt of The Beatles Revolver and the pristine of an untouched masterpiece with a hook that lasts two minutes fifty-eight seconds. Time will only prove me right as it does with most classic hits as it is yet another testament the the songwriting power of Joe and the gang and the tightness that is a family of powerful and dedicated musicians!

If you want to take an infectious musical ride of the loving kind then give the eponymous album by Joe Symes and the Loving Kind a listen. These guys are musical historians with a key to the creation box. Seamlessly mixing elements of The Beatles, Queen, The Kinks and a huge chunk of their own originality Joe and the gang are able to create an indie masterpiece that can actually stand the test of time and that is a rare thing to say about any band less than 20 years old.

Every song is a surprise in the way a good novel has a story changing plot twist in every chapter. “Fine Line” and “Ready To Ride” would normally have little in common musically but there they are, right next to each other on the album and they compliment each other very well.

JOE SYMES AND THE LOVING KIND

Joe Symes and the Loving Kind is definitely what I would call a travel album. Get in the car, load it up, and just let it play as you coast down the highway and enjoy the moment.
